Morning Circle

Morning Circle, a fellowship group for all women, generally meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. at the home of the hostess or at the Church.  This year, the group is studying a book by Joanna Weaver, entitled,  "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" based on Luke 10.

"The life a woman today isn't really all that different from that of Mary and Martha in the New Testament.  Like Mary, you long to sit at the Lord's feet...but the daily demands of a busy world won't leave you alone.  Like Martha, you love Jesus and really want to serve him...yet you struggle with weariness, resentment, and feelings of inadequacy."  Joanna Weaver takes a fresh approach to the familiar story and even with a hint of humor.

All women are welcome.  Co-leaders for 2007-2008 are Betty Jean Hotchkin and Carolyn Hobbs.

Morning Circle recently donated $100.00 as part of their Family Thank Offering to the Quakerdale Newton campus to support the programs and services necessary to make a positive, lasting impact on young lives by steering them away from delinquency, teen pregnancy, school truancy, and academic failure.
